Kearton Country Hotel is situated in the charming village of Thwaite, at the top of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales.

Surrounded by the typical Dales landscape of magnificent hills, meadows, stone walls and barns, the hotel is set in the ideal venue for your relaxing Countryside Holiday. There are many attractions and events in Swaledale and the other nearby Dales. Take a fascinating drive over the Buttertubs Pass in to Wensleydale or visit a local market in one of the picturesque surrounding villages.

Thwaite is the birthplace of the famous wildlife photographers Richard and Cherry Kearton who pioneered wildlife photography.

The whole of the Yorkshire Dales are easily accessible from the Hotel and further afield, York, the North Yorkshire Moors (Heartbeat Country) and The Lake District are worthwhile excursions.
